He is suing at least three of them for defamation. In court papers, Pensler considers himself to be a well respected plastic surgeon. After attending medical school at the University of Chicago, Dr. Pensler went on to study craniofacial surgery at Harvard University and general surgery at New York University. Dr. Pensler has donated his surgical services domestically and abroad in order to provide health care and surgical services in underprivileged communities.
On the review sites, many women claiming to be former patients offered descriptive and disturbing accounts of their encounters with the Chicago surgeon.
